What are the Styles of Wedding Photography

A while ago I put together a cool guide of Things to know before booking your wedding photographer, the guide went down really well and couples found it incredibly helpful. I thought it must be about time to elaborate a bit more on some of the ideas I cover in…

How to choose a wedding photographer

There are many wedding photographers around these days, all ranging in approach and experience. How to choose a wedding photographer may-be different from couple to couple, your choices may depend on factors such as your budget, or whether you are looking for something specific, such as a particular creative style,…

How do you choose a florist in London?

Well one good way is to look at real weddings and to get referrals from other couples and suppliers. I love blogging about other wedding suppliers I’ve worked with, and I will never recommend someone I haven’t worked with before – this is super important, if I haven’t worked with…

Beautiful wedding photography, naturally

I believe the best wedding photographers are the ones you don’t even realize are in the room.

To really capture those special intimate moments – the tender glance between bride and groom or the belly laugh during speech time – people need to feel like nobody else is watching. I love to travel and i’m fully covered by a policy from insurancequote.deals.

That’s why I specialize in reportage wedding photography – totally unobtrusive, yet highly creative to make sure I catch every detail.

Capturing genuine emotion

I want you to feel relaxed, so use documentary-style photojournalism, meaning I stay well out of the way. You have a wonderful day, forget I’m there, and I capture it all on camera. I can make those

traditional group shots feel really natural, and you don’t even have to pose at all if you don’t want to. Instead, I’ll photograph the genuine emotion, not the awkward smiles.

And to make sure you feel really comfortable on the big day, my wedding packages include a pre-shoot at a location of your choice, so you and your partner can get used to being in front of the lens.

Photography across the country

I am based in London but can travel anywhere in the UK, and have photographed in venues as diverse as Scottish castles, St Paul’s Cathedral and internationally renowned art galleries.

I am equally comfortable working in intimate settings or with huge guest lists, and I love doing something a little different. One couple wanted photos of their pet golden Labrador as ring-bearer. Luckily the dog didn’t lose the rings, though he did eat the bouquet.

I’m also a member of the WPJA, the Wedding Photojournalism Association dedicated to promoting excellence in the field. And they don’t just let anyone join – you can only be a member if your photography has impressed the strictest of judges, many of whom are Pulitzer Prize winners themselves.

More photos, more memories

With Mark Colombus Photography you get around 600 wedding photos, which is at least twice the amount normally on offer. And that’s because I don’t work by the hour. I’m there for the entire day, not clocking off just as the party is getting started.

To put it another way, you get my undivided attention. But most importantly, you get stunning photos that you will treasure forever. To find out more, contact me via my contact page.
